Statistisk analys av variationer i data från flygburen laserskanning för skoglig inventering

- Abstract (Swedish)
- In 2007, the swedish government decided to let the authority of land survey
produce an updated height surface model with higher resolution. The data collection
for the modelling is performed with airborne laser scanning, which in
this form can be used in several other applications. One of these additional applications
for the laser data is inventory of forest. The method most frequently
used for this purpose is so called area-based, where variables from the laser data
is tted to eld samples from the forest to predict values for the entire stand.

The rst part contains an investigation of the robustness of frequently used
laser variables for this application. By comparing four dierent datasets (two
dierent scanning systems, each system with two separate ying directions) from
the same area, the mean dierence and variance is studied. The result show that
data from Optech gives estimates of the vegetation ratio, i.e. the proportion of
laser hits above 2 metres from the ground, ca 0; 1 (Less)
