The way you percieve violence has in many studies shown to differ between sexes. A well established image of the weaker woman who is defenseless to the stronger man also tends to taint our image of how we percieve a violent situation. Whether it is a man who uses violence against a woman, a woman who uses violence against a man or the same sex using violence on one another, we tend to be tainted of our perception of the sex. This essay takes a closer look on how court and the society percieve violence and how similar their view on violoence is. In this essay the conclusion is that there are some differences in how violence is viewed upon but mostly a lot of similarities. (Less)
