There is a growing interest in utilizing multivariate statistical techniques for condition based monitoring of industrial processes. This master thesis is a prestudy into the application of four such well-established multivariate tests for the analysis of Tetra Pak distribution equipment such as Film wrappers, Cardboard Packers, Filling Machines and Accumulators. The analysis is performed on existing machine input signals such as position sensors and drive feedback. The analysis is performed on existing machine input signals such as position sensors and drive feedback. By developing a means for high speed access of information from the machine controllers we attempt to find pattern or limits for when the machines performance is affected and maintenance is needed.
The result is a complete package for data acquisition, models for data extraction and a set of methods for analyzing the results. (Less)
