Abstract (Swedish)
A treatment model for intermediate care in child and adolescent psychiatry is described within the framework of theories, models, treatment programmes and empirical knowledge shaping its current format.
Application in practice is illustrated by three case studies, which are discussed with a view to further development of the treatment model and its included interventions. Treatment results are presented by means of C-GAS assessment and goal achievement; a semi-structured interview was conducted with parents to assess their perceptions of relevant interventions. Evaluation of goals achieved in treatment showed results predominantly in the positive "partly achieved" or "achieved" range, while C-GAS assessment showed higher levels of... (More)

Treatment results are presented by means of C-GAS assessment and goal achievement; a semi-structured interview was conducted with parents to assess their perceptions of relevant interventions. Evaluation of goals achieved in treatment showed results predominantly in the positive "partly achieved" or "achieved" range, while C-GAS assessment showed higher levels of function in patients after treatment than before. Another positive outcome of the interventions is arguably that patients can be treated at home: home-based treatment, with the attending support of interventions delivered during emergencies, scored high in parental perceptions, though more intensive care in the first stages of treatment was desired.
