Future Homes - Resource Sharing

- Abstract
- This project is cooperated with IKEA, under their
“Future Home ” project. “Resource sharing“ is
one of the subparts. The main idea is to encourage
people to share resources and time to lower
the cost and to reduce carbon footprint. The focus
is to motivate residents to have more social
interactions with their neighbours, which is the
beginning of sharing.
The strategy is to learn from traditional ways of
sharing and apply them to modern life combined
with the needs of today.
The main research method is interview. I interviewed
12 people in China. And I tested my ideas
and mock-ups to get feedbacks and modified
them during the whole process from idea generation
to final concept.
