This thesis is about the views of justice and the model for distributing recourses to the schools of Malmö, Sweden. The case of Malmö is typically relevant due to the problems of segregation and socio-economic conditions and the fact that the city uses a special model for distributing resources. The aim of this thesis is to find out what view of justice that can be ascribed the decision makers of the economic distribution to the compulsory school types in the city of Malmö. Using the views of three different writers about justice, the thesis aims at analyzing the material with an idea analysis through the constructing of a framework. The framework consists of three dimensions assigned different attributes of the meaning of justice. The material consists of budget documents, quality reviews of the educational programs, and public debates from city council, reaching from 2011 to 2012. The conclusion is that the view of justice, employed by decision makers in Malmö, can be described as allowing all children, regardless of birth or duration of stay in Sweden, equal possibilities to participate and to succeed in life.
