Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

Abstract
The aim of the study is to examine whether there is a correlation between intrinsic motivation and employeeship and how this correlation varies depending on situational variables and demographic variables such as gender, time of employment, position and education. This is based on a literature review that shows many conceptual similarities. Surveys were distributed to 88 employees in a large organization in Skåne, and responses were received from 55 of those 88 (62,5%). The questionnaire consists of two instruments, Your Employeeship Questionnaire (Bertlett, 2011b) regarding employeeship, and parts of the Job Description Survey (Hackman & Oldham, 1974) regarding intrinsic motivation.
Analysis of the results shows an overall correlation... (More)

Analysis of the results shows an overall correlation between intrinsic motivation and employeeship, and significant results for the correlations between all situation variables and intrinsic motivation in addition to individual hardship situations. Individual development situations and group development situations have a moderate correlation, while group-hardship situations only shows a weak correlation. The demographic variables shows significant differences in the correlations of individual hardship situations and group development situations depending on time of employment. There are also tendencies in the correlations of individual development situations regarding time of employment, and individual hardship situations and group development situations regarding position.
