The second and third parts subsequently follow the metamorphosis of neo-Kantian thought into the two radically incongruent philosophical branches of logical positivism and fundamental ontology. The fourth part of the thesis adds an historical background to the above mentioned context and the fifth part finally compares this trajectory to recent discourse concerning the analytical/continental divide in contemporary philosophy.
