The thesis partly discusses how cranial trauma can be used as a base for assessing violence in ancient society. Due to S:t Jörgen's role as a leprosarium, the possible difference between trauma in a heterogenic agrarian population, and one comprised of outcasts with a likely feared disease, was also examined.
