Abstract
Why do we see some conflicts more than others? In this thesis we examine if and why the conflict in Central African Republic has been a forgotten conflict. It is a comparative case study where the conflict in Mali serves as the contrast in order to portray and prove that the conflict in Central African Republic is more forgotten than others. We conduct our own examination by using a Swedish media archive and searching this to find news related to the conflict in Central African Republic. By doing so we confirm that it per se has been a forgotten conflict. To find out why, different theories are applied to the situation in Central African Republic.
