Through the discourse analysis it is clear that four themes are the most dominating when it comes to how the democracy discourse is defined in the material: a democracy must be built on a representative system, there must be equal... Through the discourse analysis it is clear that four themes are the most dominating when it comes to how the democracy discourse is defined in the material: a democracy must be built on a representative system, there must be equal elections for choosing the representatives both in terms of number of seats in the parliament but also the election process, creating equal opportunities for small and larger countries to participate in decision making and also the importance of ideology cooperation between the member states of the UN.
