Abstract (Swedish)
Abstract
The study aimed to investigate the relationship between perceived creative climate, workload, sick leave and organizational creativity among HR employees in Sweden. Part of the purpose was also to explore the extent to which organizational creativity can be predicted from the first three variables. Furthermore the final part of the purpose was to compare all variables between HR employees in the private and public sectors. An internet-based survey was sent to HR-functions in various organizations in both sectors. The results indicated among other a strong significant correlation between perceived creative climate and organizational creativity and a moderate correlation between perceived workload and organizational creativity. A multiple... (More)

The results indicated among other a strong significant correlation between perceived creative climate and organizational creativity and a moderate correlation between perceived workload and organizational creativity. A multiple regression analysis showed that perceived creative climate, workload and sick leave together can predict 41.4 % of the variance in organizational creativity. Finally a t-test for independent means was conducted where private and public sectors were compared with respect to this study's four main variables. No significant differences were found between the sectors. The results prompted a discussion of the importance of the selected contextual variables in relation to organizational creativity in order to promote job satisfaction among employees and to achieve innovations that can optimize the entire organization's everyday working practices.
