Using Michel Foucault (1983, 1991) and social constructionism (Burr, 2003), this thesis shows how the male floorball players in the relation to their teammates construct knowledge about their sporting practice, and how, by taking part in the discourses, by learning them and using them, the players construct themselves as male floorball players and they construct what it means, for them, to play floorball.
