- Abstract
- This is a qualitative study conducted on six managers in different
enterprises both within private and public sector. The managers had
all participated in a development program hosted by the MiL Institute,
a Swedish company conducting leadership development. The aim of
the study was to examine the manager’s experience in participating in

The result shows that one of the most important aspects of the
leadership program was the interaction with the other participants.
There were also other aspects that were important for the individual
manager but not for the group as a whole. In terms of what is viewed
as attributes of a successful leadership they all describe different
things but with the common factor that it is attributes of leadership.
When they were asked how they thought they would describe it before
the program they answered with attributes more commonly viewed as
attributes of management. They had as a result of longer time as a
manager and the participation in the leadership program changed their
perspective on what is in fact a leader. (Less) - Abstract (Swedish)

(Less)
