Abstract
The purpose of the bachelor thesis was to investigate which factors affect the choices of what kind of practical approach to use for physics classes in three different high schools in Sweden. The objective was to find eventual differences between schools in Sweden and to form a base for further studies which could lead to general conclusions. The focus was to see if there were any differences in terms of size and type of school; private or public. The result was based on a qualitative

Syftet med kandidatarbetet var att undersöka avgörande faktorer i valet av den praktiska delen av fysikundervisningen i tre valda gymnasieskolor i Sverige. Undersökningen skulle uppmärksamma eventuella skillnader mellan de valda gymnasieskolorna och ge underlag till större studier för att kunna göra generella slutsatser. Fokus har varit på betydelsen av skolans storlek eller särart d.v.s. det spelar roll om det är kommunal skola eller friskola för det praktiska arbetet i fysikundervisningen. Resultatet baserades på en kvalitativ intervjustudie där totalt nio lärare deltog i studien. Den här undersökningen visade att ett tätt samarbete i arbetslaget var positivt och förbättrade undervisnings kvalité och att små skolor med färre anställda lärare inte hade samma förutsättningar. Det är viktigt att problemet i små skolor uppmärksammas och att åtgärder vidtas för en förbättrad och mer likvärdig undervisning. (Less)
