- Abstract
- The purpose of our essay was to analyze stories about Housing first, an effort to fight homelessness in social services. We have taken part of previous research regarding Housing first both national and international and the staircase model which is the most common effort in Sweden towards the homeless. The analysis is based on both professionals and clients stories regarding the subject and we have completed a total of six individual interviews. We wanted to investigate whether there were differences between Housing first and the staircase model and if/how these potential differences could affect clients.
