In this study, we have used “categorization” and “trust” as two theoretical tools. In the analysis it appears that professionals should avoid being influenced by the society’s generalization of persons with mental illness. In their professional roles, they should instead get to know every patient individually. The initial treatment can be critical for the patient’s following treatment process. The professionals’ point out that good treatment is when the patients’ are involved in their own treatment. When a good meeting is accomplished, a mutual relationship can be created between the professional and the patient. (Less)
