How stereotypes are being portrayed through looks, features and qualities in the children and the roles given to the adults is also studied. The material was read with inspiration from Butler and Foucault to see how the gender making can be seen in a power perspective. Even though the progression seems... (More)

The material was read with inspiration from Butler and Foucault to see how the gender making can be seen in a power perspective. Even though the progression seems to be towards a more equal portrayal of boys and girls in children’s books, this study shows patterns that are typical for each gender. (Less)
