- Abstract
- Focal osteolytic syndrome, or FOS, is a newly discovered skeletal disorder that has been registered in Danish medieval skeletal materials. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to bring attention to this pathological condition and see if it can be found in skeletal material from Scania. Since this region of Sweden belonged to Denmark during the Medieval period it is likely that the disease can be found in Scania and show similarities with the Danish materials in terms of disease pattern and chronical distribution.
