Cleaning Machine
(2015) In Diploma work IDEM01 20151Industrial Design
- Abstract
 - This report will cover and explain the various stages it took to
develop and design a new cleaning machine for the company
HTC. HTC is a well-known company that specializes in manufacturing
machines and tools used in the process of grinding
floors, but it is their Twister™ pads that will be of interest for
this project.
Twister™ is an abrasive pad covered in millions of microscopic
diamonds that is used to polish and clean floors. What makes
the Twister™ pads so special is that no chemicals are needed
during the process of cleaning and that the water consumption
could be lowered compared to today’s scrubbing machines.
The pads offer a better cleaning result than other techniques
and are more environmentally friendly.

The report will include the stages necessary in order to make
a concept suited for HTC, such as research, collaboration with
HTC, interviews and design. Focus of the project will be to find
a solution for how to implement Twister™ technology and to
create an appealing design for a new HTC product. The end
result of all this will be visualized in a 3d model that contains
all elements needed for the machine. (Less)
