Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)
Abstract
The Sorgenfrei-Tornquist zone has, since the late Paleozoic, undergone repeted periods of deformation, both extensive and compressive which have resulted in comprehensive block faulting and basin inversion. These factors have created a highly fractured bedrock that has healed of various minerals along the tectonic evolution. This study presents an inventory of fracture minerals in Dalby quarry in southern Sweden, where rock samples have been collected for analysis by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and EDS technology. In total, 15 different minerals and mineral groups were identified and here the most abundant attested to be epidote, carbonate, fluorite and quartz. Of the less frequent fractual mineralizations some of the most common... (More)

Of the less frequent fractual mineralizations some of the most common ore-forming sulfides were identified, namely Pyrite, Sphalerite and Galena. The minerals found has been divided into four generations of fractures, which can be linked to different stages of the bedrock’s evolution. The Permian extension and the intrusion of dolerite dykes has been considered as an important event that mobilized many elements in the bedrock, to form these mineralizations. (Less)
