- Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)

A questionnaire was handed out and responded by 232 adolescents. The questionnaire measured mental health based on the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale... (More)

A questionnaire was handed out and responded by 232 adolescents. The questionnaire measured mental health based on the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale self-report instrument (HADS). Moreover, living conditions, sociodemographic factors and the contact between the adolescent and the youth clinic was examined. The results showed gender differences concerning self-reported mental health, but also concerning perceived social support. In conclusion, the differences in mental health based on living conditions and sociodemographic factors found were relatively small. The visit groups’ mental health was to a high extent independent from factors such as age, number of visits at the youth clinic, social network, HBTQ, place of residence and social class. (Less)
