- Abstract
- The year was 2012 and we had just
started the School of Industrial Design
at the Faculty of engineering in Lund
and we had no or little idea of what
we were to experience. Three years
have now passed by and we feel more
enlightened than ever before. What
we feel is a place where the learning
technique has not just given us skills
to become great designers, but also
made us aware of how to embrace life
in general.
We see a lot of potential in design
ways of learning and think that design
should be as accepted as science or
any other philosophy today. To experience
and get a piece of design
attitude could not only give people
new perspectives on their daily work
but also new ways to embrace bigger
questions in life. So,... (More) - The year was 2012 and we had just

We see a lot of potential in design
ways of learning and think that design
should be as accepted as science or
any other philosophy today. To experience
and get a piece of design
attitude could not only give people
new perspectives on their daily work
but also new ways to embrace bigger
questions in life. So, parts of what we
have learnt at this faculty have been
turned into a tool where two people
can meet in the beginning of a project
with the aim of generating ideas.
With visual inputs from each other,
ideas evolves fast and take unexpected
turns.
Information has been found in workshops
held for both engineer and
design students. The information has
then been basic guidelines for our believes
in design approach. Mockups
and sketches created a possibility to
evaluate the form and shape of the
construction visually. The developed
method was tested in tryouts with students
with different academic backgrounds.
The digital solution is already existing,
created from trustful companies such
as Wacom, therefore it was not needed
to create a new solution. Consideration
of time limits made us create
a product that works analogy with a
hypothetic digital solution in the same
shape and size as the solution that exists
today.
The final result is a product that allows
for idea generation in a judge free
manner. The Product is encouraging
two people to create together through
combining each others ideas. (Less)
