EKOLOGISKA PRISINDEX

- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to construct price indices from price observations. The study objects are five goods that can be separated into groups of ecological and non-ecological, creating ten new product groups. The secondary aim of the study is then to create chained five sets of time series comparing the goods price change over time. The hypothesis of this study is that the price change of ecological goods is not as high as the corresponding non-ecological good. The results of this study show that for most of the goods data is satisfactory and the indices can be created according to the wished designation. However, due to several factors it is not possible to draw any further conclusions with the help of time series.

However, due to several factors it is not possible to draw any further conclusions with the help of time series.
In a first step ten new product groups are defined, elementary aggregates calculated and aggregated into Laspeyre type indices. In a second step the indices are chained for each product group. Comparisons are then made between the ecological and non-ecological goods. (Less)
