- Abstract
- Some Swedish parties argue that more money to the military leads to more feminist security. Some parties are saying the opposite though, which goes together with the Standpoint Feminism Theory. This theory says that in order to be able to make the meaning of security to something that includes women we must change today’s perspective, which is based on views from men, which made a realism view dominating. I have tried to examine this by examine the correlation between realism and the patriarchy. I did so by having an experiment with people divided into three different groups. They had to paint words related to security and gender roles. The people in the three groups had to paint the exact same words, except that one of the groups had to paint about men, one about women and one about neither. The paintings that came out from the experiment represented my material where I looked for similarities between the three different groups. My result showed that the gender-neutral category is very similar to the category with men. My result also showed that realism still exists when it is defined from a female view, but it is less occurring. (Less)
