the majority of the Swedish political parties have evolved their opinions during the examined period. The changes that are identified in the political parties show a increase in the economic and technologic aspects of the environmental and climate area. With the findings presented in the analysis, this study also argues that the changes that were observed correspond with the discourse of ecological modernization and that ecological modernization is the cause of the shift in

Den svenska miljöpolitiken är inget undantag vilket masteruppsatsen "Den svenska miljöpolitiken - En studie av riksdagspartiernas idémässiga förskjutning" påvisar. Utgångspunkten är att politik utformas av riksdagspartier, desto fler mandat ett parti innehar desto mer inflytande har partiet över politikens utformning. Den svenska miljöpolitiken är inget undantag vilket masteruppsatsen "Den svenska miljöpolitiken - En studie av riksdagspartiernas idémässiga förskjutning" påvisar. Utgångspunkten är att politik utformas av riksdagspartier, desto fler mandat ett parti innehar desto mer inflytande har partiet över politikens utformning. Under perioden 1988-2014 har tydliga idealtypologiska förskjutningar identifierats inom majoriteten av riksdagspartierna, förskjutningarna påvisar att svenska riksdagspartierna fokuserar mer på ekonomisk och teknologisk utveckling än minskad konsumtion och decentralisering i miljö- och klimatfrågan. Uppsatsen argumenterar för att ekologisk modernisering är den bakomliggande orsaken till den påvisade utvecklingen vilket stöds av relevant forskning. Skillnader och likheter har också identifierats mellan de olika partierna i synen på miljö- och klimatpolitik. Socialdemokraterna och Miljöpartiet som för närvarande är regeringspartier har väldigt olika idéer när det kommer till miljö- och klimatpolitik samtidigt som Socialdemokraterna och Alliansen påvisar tydliga likheter i samma fråga. Det historiska perspektivet ger ytterligare kunskap i ämnet och ger en fingervisning i hur miljö- och klimatpolitiken kommer att utvecklas, men då politik är i konstant förändring är det således omöjligt att med säkerhet förutspå hur miljö- och klimatpolitiken kommer utvecklas kommande decennier.
