Reglering av en isoterm kalorimeter

- Abstract
- Within many scientific areas there is interest in finding out the amount of energy turning to heat within different processes. One of the most common examples are cement hydration, where the heat emission leads to information about cement qualities like reaction speed and strength increase. Other areas where there is need for information about heat emission is in biology, medicine and chemistry. To measure the heat emission from a reaction an isothermal calorimeter can be used. In this project a suitable controller was created to control an isothermal calorimeter. First the calorimeter was studied and modeled. This gave a better understanding of the thermal dynamics of the system. Then system identification was done and a model based... (More)

In this project a suitable controller was created to control an isothermal calorimeter. First the calorimeter was studied and modeled. This gave a better understanding of the thermal dynamics of the system. Then system identification was done and a model based controller was implemented with a suitable program. LQG-control is a suitable control method in this case, and it was used on the isotherm calorimeter. (Less)
