- Abstract
- The purpose of this thesis has been to study different types of control strategies for an Electrohydraulic position servo in a Fuel metering valve. The Servo needs a high accuracy and fast response controller. Unlinearlities cause the system dynamics to vary with different operating conditions. A mathematical model implemented in the simulation tool ACSL is used in design and analysis. The System is analyzed and the existing P-controller is found to be insufficient in accuracy. Design and analysis of analog PID-controllers and lead-lag filters are described and solutions to avoid reset windup and reduce sensitivity for variation in the system dynamic are proposed. Two analog controllers based on a PID-controller and a lead-lag filter... (More)

Two analog controllers based on a PID-controller and a lead-lag filter fulfill the performance specifications. Further a discussion is made over possibilities and difficulties with discrete controllers and methods based on a combination of analog and discrete technics. (Less)
