- Abstract
- Our task has been to design a dynamic model for a super heater of a marine steam boiler on a turbine vessel. We have also investigated different methods for control of the temperature of the outflowing steam by computer simulation. The aim has been to make the regulation faster at different load and disturbance. <br><br> In our models we have described characteristics for valves, regulators and steam pipes. The first model has been adapted to the existing system, whereupon we have studied an alternative controlling solution. <br><br> At simulation of the systems for a changed regulator adjustment a faster build-up process is obtained. For different load and disturbance, no tendencies to self-oscillation have been discovered.
