Digitala interaktioner : hur påverkas vårt samhälle av Facebook?
(2016) DIKK60 20151Division of ALM and Digital Cultures
- Abstract (Swedish)
- Abstract
- This thesis aims to understand the digital interaction and why there is a lower communication barrier at the use of Internet than it is in the physical world.
This thesis is based primarily on the interaction that takes place between people on Facebook. The interactions are studied from a sociological perspective primarily to compare the physical society with the digital society. The thesis mainly have studied a post on SVT's Facebook page where the journalist Alexandra Pascalidou gets attacked by different users, but the analysis also discusses our self-representation through data upload.
The thesis contains the theories of sociologist Karl Marx, Emilé Durkheim and Erving Goffman and methods of text analysis and qualitative interviews.
