Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

Abstract
The purpose of the study was to analyze the location of energy forest plantation in relation to rivers, forests, roads and production areas. Focusing on the energy forest Willow, Populous and Aspen in Sweden between 2000 and 2013. The method used in this study consisted of a literature study and a GIS-analysis. The results are presented in tables and later on discussed. The conclusions of the study are that the area of energy forest plantations in conjunction with forests, roads and waters within the buffer zone has decreased between 2000 and 2013. The amount of energy forest plantations in conjunction with forests has increased. Additionally the amount has decreased in conjunction with roads and waters. Furthermore a decrease is... (More)

The amount of energy forest plantations in conjunction with forests has increased. Additionally the amount has decreased in conjunction with roads and waters. Furthermore a decrease is identified for the amount and area of energy forest plantations in most of the production areas. This means that the plantations are becoming smaller, which can benefit biodiversity. Finally the study shows that the plantations mainly return to the previous land use, i.e. grain, forage, fallow, potatoes and beets, after harvesting. (Less)
