Abstract
Dating back to the ancient times, people used simple marks to tell their stories and write their history when languages were not created. As time passes by, there are more and more ways we could choose like writing dairies, taking photos, or using mobile devices to share the stories with friends. We could record almost every second in life easily. On the other hand, we are now facing a huge amount of data.

My inspiration came from a wall with black marks that recorded children’s heights as they grow up. This wall record time and show the changes of a human being in a simple and direct way. My idea was to find a simple way like the marks on the wall that could help people keep the beautiful moments in life and carry them by side.

The final results are an app and a stamp kit. By using simple basic shapes, people can create a symbolic mark for a beautiful landscape they have seen in their life or a scene that moved their heart or other things that they would like to remember. For the simple shapes they are, the marks can be both meaningful and decorative.

Each mark represents each moment in life. By creating and collecting each little mark, people can simplify the huge amount of information. And it also can be a way to summarize the past experience and find the connection between them. (Less)
