In order to carry out my study I have chosen to use qualitative content analysis as my method to understand my material. This material consists of statements in newspapers and records of parliamentary debates, which is analysed on the basis of my rational choice theory together with the assumptions of office, policy and votes. My main result in this study is that my analysed material implies that Miljöpartiet decided to approve the deal because it would show the party’s ability to act in difficult political issues. (Less)
