Abstract (Swedish)
The national plebiscite in Colombia regarding the peace agreement between the government and FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) was held on October 2nd 2016 and was suprisingly won by the No-side with a minimum of votes resulting in a rejection of the current peace deal. This descriptive case study aims to explain and discuss the outcome and the participation of the plebiscite regarding the peace agreement in Colombia. The research question guiding this study is: Everybody wants peace right, so why did the people vote No? The conclusion of the study is that there are many possible reasons for people to vote No in the plebiscite and one important reason that effected the outcome is trust for the government. (Less)
