Abstract
Most people in Sweden express worries regarding the environment. A big concern when it comes to climate change is the lack of action. This study focuses on the environmetalist who says one thing and then does another. Most people do things that don’t necessarily always go hand in hand with their beliefs, this behavior is not unusual but it is a common source of discomfort. The study explores the different strategies of dealing with this type of discomfort also known as cognitive dissonance. The study also discusses what role social media and the Internet have when it comes to consumption and people starting to take action.The study also brings up concepts such as information overload, filter bubbles and post truth.
