Abstract
The aim of this study was to examine how eating disorders are constructed in the media. More specifically its aim was to find out how people with eating disorders are produced and constructed in the Swedish daily and evening papers. The study was based on a content analysis of twenty articles from daily and evening newspapers between 2005 - 2016 who presented eating disorders. The analysis was based on three different themes to help describe the results. The themes was the person, the disease and the environment. The results from the study was that people with eating disorders are often described as slim, young girls and that eating disorders as a disease often describes the sick person eating less and exercising more.
