- Abstract
- The aim of this study was to discover how caregivers in a caring home for elderly people work with the social and emotional part of the caregiving. To discover this, the study was based on 4 days of participating observations that took place on a caring home for elderly people in Sweden. The observations were focused on every staff in the caring home, but mostly on the caregivers. Throughout the study, questions were asked to the caregivers along with the observations. The findings of the study seemed to be many different things, among others the fact that a good relationship between the caregiver and caretaker is necessary for a good care.
