Abstract
This thesis focuses on the growing demand for traceability in continuous processes within the food and beverage
industries. Three market-leading companies have contributed valuable input to this thesis to identify common interests. Using modern technology, a demo application has been developed to show the power in gathering several data sources and traceability into one graphical user interface, GUI.
The application stands on a strong theoretical ground by taking several international standards, needs assessment and user interface theory into account. By doing so the final application emits a strong understanding of the current traceability needs and trends. This thesis was carried out together with ABB in Malmö.
