Even though the history of the second hand market is closely connected to the working class, the academic research of resent years lacks this perspective. This thesis follows second hand clothing’s journey from shame to status filled objects. Furthermore the study shows how second hand consumption can be viewed as a trickle-up-phenomenon, but how its diffusion is closely connected to class. (Less)
