A further aim was therefore to strengthen the discourse of people with mental illness by using qualitative interviews to bring light to their stories, using theories of power and normality in the analysis. One of the interviewees described experiences... (More)

One of the interviewees described experiences of oppression in psychiatric care. A further result in the study shows that mental illness is viewed as abnormal in relation to society at large, which threatens the process of recovery. (Less)
