- Abstract
- In this thesis a Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) is used to evaluate the net social benefits of a congestion charge in Malmö. A novel approach based on information from Google Maps is used to estimate the scope of present congestion issues in Malmö. Likely effects and the number of people affected is estimated using information from the trial in Stockholm, the trial in Gothenburg and a report on the fiscal effects of a congestion charging scheme in Malmö. Price sensitivity is used to estimate the reductions of passages to and from the city by car and the following costs and benefits.
