and media ethics is used in the analysis to understand and contextualize the answers from the
interviews. The educators all agree that social media is important to journalists in their work
today. But only two of the five educations mention social media in their course plans. They
all try to incorporate social media in their education, but often as a complement to the more
traditional news channels. They rarely educate students in social media skills or social media
storytelling, at least not with a practical learning method. All of them express that it is
important to think extra about ethics when you work with social media. Finally, they believe
it is important to keep the education updated with the current media landscape, but they also
emphasize the importance of not changing the education according to all new trends. (Less)
