- Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)
- Abstract
- My thesis ’’Responsibility to create sustainability – a concept analysis of responsibility in the sustainability reports of the Swedish fashion industry’’, investigates Hennes & Mauritz and Filippa Ks view of the concept responsibility in sustainability reports, be- fore and after the adoption of The Sustainable development goals. The purpose of this study is to uncover if the enterprises view of responsibility have changed since the world set higher demands on business to help reach the goals before year 2030. The purpose is also to expose if the view of responsibility differs from a company that is producing fast fashion compared to a company that is producing slow fashion. With regard to the purpose, the questions asked is: ’’How is the... (More)

The purpose is also to expose if the view of responsibility differs from a company that is producing fast fashion compared to a company that is producing slow fashion. With regard to the purpose, the questions asked is: ’’How is the concept responsibility ex- pressed in Hennes & Mauritz and Filippa Ks sustainability reports just before and after The Sustainability goals 2015?’’ and ’’Does Hennes & Mauritz and Filippa Ks view of the concept responsibility differ in their sustainability reports and if so how does their view differ?’’. A concept analysis by Quentin Skinner and John Langshaw Austin is used as a method to answer these questions. David Millers connection theory, addres- sing how responsibility should be divided between different agents, is used as this thesis approach to responsibility. The study shows that the companies view of responsibility have changed since the world set higher demands on business. It also shows that there is a difference between how a company that is producing fast fashion views responsibility compared to a company that is producing slow fashion. (Less)
