Several other motives in context of patenting were located through the interview sessions which comprised motives towards the aspects of reputation, exclusion, performance measurement, bargaining power and monetary ones. Experiences and concrete explanations about the prioritization or attributed importance towards specific motives are shown in the empirical findings and discussed. Finally, basic insights and experiences made by patentees are provided and may deal as a starting point for further qualitative research on behalf of the Austrian motives. (Less)
