People living with protected personal data consist mostly of women and children that are vulnerable because of violence that they experienced from a man in their vicinity, which is why the thesis is focusing on women and children. The data has been analyzed by applying the theories law in books and law in action by Pound, and Mathiesens perspective of the law system in relation to society, occurred to fulfil the purpose of the thesis.

Conclusions of the thesis is that each authority has an action plan and they all have concrete routines how to handle protected personal data. Routines about communication with others have similar structure and each authority have education about protected personal data that can be seen as prevention, even though it has different formation. Education about domestic violence is given to employees but it´s not written in the action plans. The interviews present that personal data is handled with awareness but there are deficiencies in the action plans. None of the action plans has routines that inform employees how to maneuver if protected personal data would unearth. The bachelor thesis includes 16 212 words. (Less)
