Är det svårt med journalföring i den ”öppna” elektroniska journalen och har psykoterapeuterna utbildats?

- Abstract
- Medical documentation has been written with papers and pencils, but recently it has also been written on a typewriter or computer and has become electronic. Now further development is taking place with the electronic journal which gives the patient an opportunity to read what is written in their medical journal directly on-line. There are many questions that arises about how this development with open journals is experienced as a “challenge” for the therapists and whether it also can affect the treatment? This study has asked professional doctors, psychologists and social workers, participating in a post graduate training about their experiences of their documentation: if they find it difficult, what is difficult and if they need further... Now further development is taking place with the electronic journal which gives the patient an opportunity to read what is written in their medical journal directly on-line. There are many questions that arises about how this development with open journals is experienced as a “challenge” for the therapists and whether it also can affect the treatment? This study has asked professional doctors, psychologists and social workers, participating in a post graduate training about their experiences of their documentation: if they find it difficult, what is difficult and if they need further education. The results indicate that although the therapists have a long experience with therapeutic work and documentation, over 50% of respondents find it difficult. One of the challenges was about the direct access and how the patients would interpret what was written in the journal. The respondent group has indicated that they have changed how they write over time, now writing less and less. The study has also found that therapists have not received much training in general and that the learning process has taken place on their own. (Less)
