- Intresset för historia har funnits med mig redan i tidig ålder vilket under åren resulterat i många utflykter till museer och historiskt viktiga platser. Eftersom jag växte upp i Simrishamn, där rika lämningar från såväl brons- som järnålder finns, hade jag under min uppväxt aldrig långt till närmsta utflyktsmål. De kanske mest intressanta, och för bygden speciella, är de hällristningar som finns utspridda i landskapet vilka vittnar om forna tiders seder och bruk.
Simrishamn är den kommun i Skåne med den största förekomsten av just hällristningar, och man har från kommunens sida uttryckt en vilja att förvalta denna tillgång. Ett av förslagen man utrett är etablerandet av ett hällristningscenter i staden för att på så vis göra kulturarvet... De kanske mest intressanta, och för bygden speciella, är de hällristningar som finns utspridda i landskapet vilka vittnar om forna tiders seder och bruk.
Simrishamn är den kommun i Skåne med den största förekomsten av just hällristningar, och man har från kommunens sida uttryckt en vilja att förvalta denna tillgång. Ett av förslagen man utrett är etablerandet av ett hällristningscenter i staden för att på så vis göra kulturarvet till en möjlig tillväxtfaktor.
Mitt examensarbete har ämnat att titta närmre på denna uppgift och kretsat kring relationen mellan arkitekturen, kulturlandskapet och våra historiska miljöer. Genom samspelet mellan dessa faktorer har jag önskat skapa ett funktionellt projekt som förhåller sig respektfullt till området men också inbjuder till en ökad förståelse för vår närmiljö. En undersökning om hur man med arkitekturens hjälp kan lyfta upplevelsen av det naturliga såväl som det av människan altererade landskapet, för besökarna i kontexten Horsahallens hällristningsområde.
Med utgångspunkt i ett hällristningscenter placerat i Simrislunds gamla stenbrott har jag sammanvävt ett antal utvalda platser i området och skapat en historisk vandring med fokus på närheten till naturen och interaktionen med våra fornminnen.
Relationen till platsen har varit en prioritet och jag har genom studier av kulturlandskapet, teorier i landskapsarkitektur och referensprojekt sökt en djupare förståelse för vad som är viktigt att tänka på då man arbetar med arkitektoniska tillägg i landskapet. (Less) - Abstract
- Ever since I was a child I have had a historical interest, which has resulted in many excursions
to museums and sites of historical significance. Since I grew up in the town of Simrishamn, where important historical traces from both the bronze and Iron Age are visible, I never had far to the closest excursion site. The most interesting and of greatest importance to the region being the rock carvings that are spread throughout the landscape, a trace of the ancient times and its way of life.
Simrishamn is the municipality in the district of Skåne with the greatest occurrence of these rock carvings. An interest have therefore risen from the municipality’s side to manage this asset, resulting in a report discussing the possibility to... My thesis work has aimed to investigate this task and circled the question of the relationship between architecture, cultural landscape and our historical heritage. Through the interplay between these factors I have wished to create a functional project which relates respectfully to the area
and offers a deeper understanding of our local environment. In short an investigation on how one through architecture can lift the experience of the natural landscape as well as the humanly altered landscape, for the visitors of Horsahallen rock carving area.
With the starting point in a rock carving centre situated in Simrislunds old stone quarry, I have created a historical trail in the area. Thus connecting carefully chosen spots inte the landscape, focusing on coming closer to nature and our historical heritage.
The relationship to the site has been a priority throughout the work. I have through extended studies of the cultural landscape, theories in landscape architecture as well as reference projects searched for the important factors when working with architecture in the landscape. (Less)
