The aim of the EU’s cultural policy is to preserve and promote the European cultural heritage in order to foster a feeling of belonging between the Europeans. The results of the study show the multifaceted process of cultural integration in the EU, realized according to the idea of “unity in diversity”. The European Union brings its citizens together by promoting the cultural diversity of the continent and enhancing the integration process where the Europeans can socialize and learn about each other, as well as by identifying the European dimension of the national cultural heritage of the member states and highlighting the common norms and values, such as peace, freedom, and tolerance that unite all European citizens.
