The method chosen for this study was qualitative interviews with seven foreign-born women. I applied an intersectional theoretical framework, in order to better understand the complex power structures that contribute to create inequality and oppression in the relationship of foreign-born women to the other. This study found that foreign-born women feel that they in connection with the working life in Sweden encounter some difficulties based on beliefs about gender and ethnicity. The informants stated that they feel they have several opportunities to enter the labor market in Sweden, for example education opportunities. However, some expressed that these efforts, which will provide the conditions for entering the labor market, are not individually adapted and therefore does not contribute with sufficient help.
