- This study sought to investigate unaccompanied migrant children’s experiences in different forms of Swedish Social Work. The primary goal of the study was to obtain a general picture of how the children perceived treatment from authority figures in their daily lives. The study was made in the light of current political events in Europe, where migrant children have been both criminalized and victimized. By interviewing former unaccompanied migrant children, the authors sought to highlight and explain the abilities that migrant children possess; independence, decisiveness and courage.
